The Diamond Tools Association of India (DTAI)
has been established in the year 2006 with an objective to promote, develop and support the diamond tool sector in the Rajasthan state as well as other parts of the country. The need of such a platform had been felt since long where solutions to the problems faced by this industry could be discussed collectively. Mr. Panchsheel Jain took the initiative and the idea was shared with some friends. Some diamond tool manufacturers were approached to get their support for this endeavor. Their positive response encouraged them and the foundation of establishing Diamond Tools Association of India (DTAI) was laid.
The association has got itself registered with the Registrar of Firms, Government of Rajasthan. The registrar office has issued a registration certificate with the registration no. 693 dated June 20, 2006 .
In the very first year of its inception, a large number of members from diamond tool industry and its allied trade, associated themselves with the DTAI. With the increasing strength of members, DTAI initiated many activities for the benefit of diamond tool sector.The major event under the banner of the association was participation in the 3rd INDIA STONEMART-2007 held at Pink City Jaipur from February 1 to 4, 2007. Centre for Development of Stones (CDOS) favoured the association with the prestigious status of 'FARE ASSOCIATES'. For a new organization like DTAI, it was a great honor. 18 members of DTAI exhibited their products in a special pavilion and one of the participant bagged the Best Stall Award. Most of the entrepreneurs were first time participants, thanks to the initiative of our association.
The association also took initiative over the issues like VAT, Anti-Dumping, Import Duty on Synthetic Diamond Powder etc. It also organizes seminars and technical sessions on metal powder, machinery and other aspects of diamond tool manufacturing and its uses.
